2009 WSOP Schedule

While the attention is still on the 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the WSOP has announced its circuit event schedule that will begin in October of 2008 and run through May of 2009. The ten series of poker tournaments will take place in nine different locations around the United States.

The 2008-2009 WSOP Circuit events will start on October 2nd at Caesars Indiana. New to the schedule is the Horseshoe Hammond casino in the Chicago, Illinois area, and the one stop on the circuit that will be visited twice is Harrah’s Atlantic City.

The 2009 WSOP schedule is as follows:

October 2 – October 14 Caesars Indiana
October 24 – November 2 Horseshoe Hammond (Chicago)
November 6 – November 16 Harvey’s Lake Tahoe
December 5 – December 18 Harrah’s Atlantic City
January 20 – February 9 Harrah’s Tunica (Mississippi)
February 12 – February 25 Horseshoe Council Bluffs (Iowa)
March 4 – March 14 Caesars Atlantic City
March 19 – March 29 Harrah’s Rincon (San Diego)
April12 – April 29 Caesars Palace (Las Vegas)
May 8 – May 20 Harrah’s New Orleans

WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack noted, “Playing World Series of Poker Circuit events is the best way to hone your live tournament poker skills in a friendly and competitive environment. We continue to fine tune the World Series of Poker Circuit schedule and structures to deliver poker players the best tournaments throughout the year.”
