PokerStars is one of the largest online poker rooms on the internet (second only to PartyPoker) and perhaps one of the most enjoyable sites to play on. With constant television commercials featuring the last three WSOP champions PokerStars has emerged as the number one online poker tournament site on the internet and is increasing its traffic to stratospheric levels. PokerStars is a stand alone site (not part of a network of skins) and with so many high profile names attached, it promises to be around for a long time to come.

PokerStars has one of the most aggressive tournament schedules and is home to the biggest (player and money-wise) tournaments on the internet. Satellites are constantly running to major live poker events and also for their big Sunday tournament which usually has a $750,000 to $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. PokerStars is also home to the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) which runs every summer with massive prize pools in a variety of events.

This is the one area where PokerStars is lacking. PokerStars has some decent reload bonuses for their regulars but there are no deposit bonuses for first time players. They do however have a comprehensive frequent players points program which can be used to get poker merchandise or be redeemed for cash tournaments.
